At KimFit, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site, subscribers to our mailing list and of course, customers. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use and store data from prospects (prospective customers) and customers across our website, mailing list and information forms.
Web analytics
When someone visits www.thekimfitway.com a third-party service collects standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This is to find out things such as number of visitors to the site, and which parts. The information does not identify anyone.
Mailing lists
As part of the registration process for our mailing list we collect personal information such as name and email. This is information about “prospects”, potential customers. This information is used to share content with you that you have told us you’re interested in. We do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations or businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver emails and gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor our emails. For more information please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe at any time from our mail list by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails. Customers
Once you buy a product or service from us, we will collect information from you to assist in delivering you the best possible service and ensure your safety. This will be information about your readiness to exercise, and a lifestyle questionnaire including personal details (address, phone number, age, DOB). We will also ask your consent for us to hold this information. We will use your data to keep us informed about any health or wider needs you have that we need to consider whilst delivering your training session(s). If you have provided us with emergency contact details we will use this data when required. Some of the data collected from you is ‘specialist category’. This includes (not exhaustively) any data relating to disabilities and health. We collect and use this data to enable us to tailor activities to your needs.
This data will be stored either electronically and be password protected, or kept locked in a file if a paper copy. If you cease to be a customer, all data, will be kept for six months and then destroyed (shredded) except for data linked to financial details.
When you pay us by BACS we know only what the bank tells us; usually the name of the person and a reference number. We keep records of the service you have purchased for tax purposes and so we can support you in any additional purchases. HRMC have the right to inspect financial information relating to the previous 6 years and require all trading entities to keep financial records for this length of time.
